Raja Ramanna Centre

The foundation stone of Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology ( RRCAT ) was laid on 19th February 1984. It was setup by the Government of India under the Department of Atomic energy. It is a research and development organization for the discipline of lasers, particle acceleration and related technologies. It was formerly known as Centre for Advanced Technology. It is located at Indore. All its activities are carried out at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre.


RRCAT, Indore needs experienced and honest professionals for the smooth functioning of the institution. It invites applications for the various posts of Stipendiary Trainees under category I and category II. Only Indian Nationals can apply and that too latest by 17th October 2011. Selection will be based on written examination and after that shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.

Total 57 posts are vacant for Stipendiary Trainees under category I & II. Under category I, 30 posts are available for physics, Mechanical and Electronics / Instrumentation. For this, candidates should Diploma / licentiate in the relevant discipline with at least 60% marks. And also candidates age should be between 19 – 24 years. Candidates selected for this category will get stipend of Rs.9300/- for both years.


While under category II, 27 posts are offered for Electronics/ Instrumentation, Fitter, Turner, Machinist / Miller and Laboratory. For all these posts, candidates should have passed HSC in science stream with minimum 60% marks along with ITI certificate in the relevant trade. For this post, age limit between 18 – 22 years is required for this category. Here candidates will get stipend of Rs. 6200/- per month for 1st year and Rs. 7200/- for 2nd year.

India Reserve Battalion [ IRB ] is the very first battalion which was formed on 15th January 2005. The training of its men are given by CRPF and BSF while some specified training jungle warfare was completed under Assam Rifles in Assam. IRB main duty is to make peace and prosperity in  the state. It safeguard citizens of Jharkhand from crime.


IRB, Jharkhand needs qualified and dedicated personnel for the appointment as general Policemen under Indian Reserve Battalion – 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. For this, it invites applications from Male Indian Nationals and the appointment will be for 20 years. Last date for the receipt of application is 15th October 2011.

Total 423 vacancies are available for the post of Policeman in India Reserve Battalion. Out of this, 68 posts are for India Reserve Battalion – 1, 88 are for IRB – 2, 106 are for IRB – 3, 20 are for IRB – 4 and rest 141 are for India Reserve Battalion – 5. For this post, candidates age should not be less than 18 years and even not more than 27 years as on 1st August 2011. Also he has to posses matriculation pass certificate from any recognized board. Candidates height should be minimum 165 cm and chest should be minimum  81 cm.
Selection will be done through 2 – tier process that is , Physical Efficiency Test – PET ] and after that Written exam.

After successful training, candidates of category I will be appointed as Scientific Assistant at grade C and candidates of category II will be appointed as Technician C and Technician B.
